Why wear it - put it in a shrine or something :o)

I'd bid on it if it was a jacket of one of the actors.

Very nice find! Nothing would be cooler than walking around with one of those babies.

A shrine lol. I guess I like functional collectables. On the otherhand my Bundy action figures are still in the packaging.

daniel? really? http://test.reelclothes.com/movie1.asp?id=58 the actual cloths worn during filming. nothing from al, but they do have some of those alien costumes that needed als socks to power the space ship. two items from david/bud with the rest undocumented (the shirts from the baseball teams by the extras) and the majority from peg and kelly.

and remember dan 1 euro = over $1.50 right now. you'll be paying about 66% of the listed price plus shipping. i think today the euro = $1.53.

LOL

This is a Tropical Combat Uniform jacket (or as some call it, a "jungle fatigue") worn by american personnel during the war in Vietnam. Judging from the material, it's either the 1st or 2nd Pattern jacket, which were used up to 1968. It's definitely made out of cotton, not a "Starwears" job. (I'm a 'Nam reenactor, so I know. 1st Cavalry Airmobile, 1968-1969)

And it looks to me like it's more of a Vietnam veteran's jacket (with stuff sewn onto it after coming back to the US), than something Starwears would have done for a MwC writer. I mean, seriously, "SEARCH" and "DESTROY" on a TV show writer's jacket. Yeah, right.

I've looked on the photos a couple of times and I can't see anything to indicate any connection to MwC. I would have put the show's logo on myself, but there's none on this...

thats not the same jacket that was shown when he first posted it. ebay must reuse item numbers after the items get sold. the original item was a blue baseball jacket if i remember right, and it was almost $100 not $7.

Are you talking about the TCU jacket? If you are, they are both number 84/200 on the auctions. Two of the same number?

Now, I'm not saying that a crew member couldn't have worn it. But it's definitely not MwC related...

yes thats the one i'm talking about. the jacket description was correct for the original picture. it was like a baseball or letter jacket, not the green shirt showing now. i'm hoping the winning bidder didn't get ripped off and they seller sent him the shirt currently shown rather than the jacket originally shown. the one doc wanted was exactly as described, not the green thing.

Alright, I get you now. I haven't seen the auction from the start, so I didn't know about this.

You might want to save this pic for the archives Daniel.
