So one of my Winter projects will be building a scale model of Als' "Dodge" (actually a Plymouth Duster).
I plan to build it mostly as it appears in Requiem for a Chevyweight, but will take things from other episodes as well. I may also take some liberties of my own.
I will be using this kit as my base:

I intend to post pics of my progress (or lack thereof) here.
I welcome any ideas,comments, suggestions, encouragement, discouragement,ect..

Hi,

Nice project would love to see progress pictures from time to time/

Below info will surely lmown by you but thought post it.

The Illinois license plates seen on the Bundy's car were 61CMS2; 2 RPH 72 and F3B359. Al's driver's license number reads 2C1835.

A link on licence plate for scale models(1:25)

Good Luck !!!!!!

Te Classic Old 1973 Dodge Dart Sport was in my opinion meant to be Als Dodge....

Thanks for the info and words of encouragement, everybody. I actually started with the license plates first, then found the car and other parts later. :)
There are several details that need addressed using this kit, most notably the wheels and tires. No way would the high performance 340 engine be found in "The Dodge"
When I started planning this, I knew I had to put an issue of Big 'Uns and a family portrait (and a salami) in the trunk. The kit does not feature an opening trunk, so I cut it out, I also filled in some holes where a rear spoiler would have been:

The wheels and tires are as close as I've found so far. I think they came off an old Mustang friction model.
Since "The Dodge" is notoriously slow, lacks power and has a million miles on it, it must be powered by Chryslers Slant Six engine. These engines can take years of abuse, and are famous for being indestructible. I found an engine in this kit:

Awesomely detailed with the stuff in the trunk :) Could you make more of these, and sell to, well, me?

Go to this site. Someone made a pretty good replica a few years back. I contacted him multiple times but he still refuses to sell.

You might want to wait and see the finished (if it ever is) product first! :)

Hat's off, the guy did a great job. I can only hope mine looks as good.
And I thought the stuff in the trunk was my idea. :(
The website is really good with a lot of tips. Thanks for the link.

Hey, that guy doesn't have a salami in there.

Perhaps even 2 salamies, if you get my drift ... .

I don't think the color is right on that guy's Dodge either.
