Elaborate, please!marriedaniac wrote:Yes.
I've only heard about this show, apparently it's extremely popular in England. I don't think Sweden has ever aired an episode of this show, though we have bought the rights to many other English shows.

Re: Only fools and horses
I've seen a few episodes. It's constantly voted one of the UK's top best sitcoms, but I wouldn't go that far. There are lots of classic moments - the falling through the bar, the chandelier, etc - but it's not one of my favourites. I understand and respect its place in Britain's heart, though. It's cool they did a pre-quel last year.Shoe Dick wrote:Elaborate, please!marriedaniac wrote:Yes.

The classics are great aren't they? Like Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, The Good Life, One Foot in the Grave, Vicar of Dibley, French & Saunders... the list goes on!

Maybe this could become a British comedy thread.
Some of my favourites are French & Saunders, Ab Fab, Bottom, The Comic Strip Presents..., The Young Ones, Fawlty Towers, Red Dwarf, Men Behaving Badly, The Vicar of Dibley, etc, etc.

Don't forget Father Ted! Or is that actually Irish? I thought maybe it was set in Ireland and actually British.
I've never heard of this other show, should I try to find it?

It's certainly worth seeing an episode or two. Hard to tell if it's your thing or not. It's not a favourite of mine, but it has some hardcore fans and ran, like, forever. I like the actors in it, anyway.Dr. Shoe wrote:Don't forget Father Ted! Or is that actually Irish? I thought maybe it was set in Ireland and actually British.

Black Books is one of those shows that a lot of people told me to watch because it is hilarious, and then when I finally got around to watching it... I didn't find it that funny. Which is a shame, because I like Bill Bailey.
