Can anybody tell me the name of the episode where this scene occurs? Al and Jefferson are having an intelligent conversation about something (I think a book or a camera) and a character I think Marcy or Peggy (most likely Marcy) is surprised and annoyed about one of them not having a conversation like this with them.

Sounds like "T-R-A- Something Something Spells Tramp" (season 7, episode 2) to me.
Al says to Peg he's not a talker, then Jefferson comes in.
Peg: "You got a brain you're not using with me? That makes two things you're not using with me."
